for fear of offending...

Recommended Posts

This was sent to me today.
She knew I love God.
She knew I am patriotic.
She knew I am Native American.

Anyone else get this.?

Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone-----YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !!!!

Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice??????

Think about it!

All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS?

I celebrate Christmas...........but because it isn't celebrated by everyone..............we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Season's Greetings.

It's not Christmas vacation, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday?

We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that.
This says it all!
This is an editorial written by an
American citizen, published in a
Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS,
NOT AMERICANS,
MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we
are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11,
we have experienced a surge
in patriotism by the majority
of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had
barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about
the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to ! America.
Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.
However, there
are a few things that those
who have recently come to
our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.
This idea of America being a
multicultural community
has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans......
we have our own culture, our
own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.
Therefore, if you wish to become part
of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan.. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles.............
founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented.
It is certainly appropriate to display it
on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as
your new home.........because
God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or
you don't like Uncle Sam, then you
should seriously consider a move
to another part of this planet.
We
are happy with our culture and have
no desire to change, and we really
don't care how you did things where
you came from.
This is
OUR COUNTRY,
our land, and our lifestyle.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the
right to express his opinion and we
will allow you every opportunity to do so!
But once you are done complaining....... whining...... and griping....... about our flag.......
our pledge...... our national motto........or our
way of life....I highly encourage you to
take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.......

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

It is Time for America to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along;
if you don't agree -- delete it!

AMEN

I figure if we all keep passing this to our friends
(and enemies) it will also, sooner or later
get back to the complainers, lets all try,
please!

These same things are happening in spain, the apologist told me in a email its getting bad over there, even worse since the socialists won the elections. He said the youth over there have no clue about the purpose of life and that homosexual marriage is legalized, abortion is legalized and they playing a "seperation of church and state" card over there. To the point where the government will not help the church in anyway at all. People wont even support miles Jesu because its religious.

The liberals are trying to reconvert the world to paganism.

I know I'm isolated... but is anyone real (not on TV) actually offended by US flags, Christianity, or speaking English?

I have never once met such a person. And I hang around some pretty far out atheist lefties. :idontknow:

Extra ecclesiam nulla salus

sure. a lot of people. I can remember one specific example. Our old govenor went to a Mickey D's. the man at the register did not speak english. The Govenor got upset, and screamed at the man or whatever.

the Newspapers made a big fuss out of this, and called him a bigot and a racist. Member of my own family agreed, etc.

My parents think that if you come to this country people should make accomadations FOR YOU, and that you needen't learn english to be a cashier. so do a lot of my liberal homies.

Perhaps instead we can offer free or affordable English lessons...

I think what needs to be remembered is that these people are trying, but English is a very hard language to learn. We're just spoiled and we think everyone should speak English. However, I think English should be used here and for those who don't speak it, we can meet them halfway. I say this as the child of immigrant parents from Korea...

I seriously doubt it's the immigrants we're offending. Most Muslims I know wouldn't care if Christmas was labeled Christmas. We have a big influx of Mexicans, I doubt they'd care either seeing they're mostly Catholic. Many of our Immigrants are Christian and most of them(that i've seen, having parents that were immigrants themselves) don't care about the national anthem, the ten commandment controversy, etc. It's atheists BORN AND RAISED HERE that are mostly offended.

I'm annoyed by all the political correctness too, but this email forward seems to suggest that immigrants have nothing to contribute to this nation culturally, that they should lose their cultural identity.

That's exactly it. It is not just about 'tolerance' but about removing anything from our past that could cause anyone to be insulted. Not too long ago there was a case where liberals in California wanted to get a Christian symbol removed from one of their coins. It was a historical symbol. Dennis Prager (Jewish Columnist) has a really good article about it here: http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/de...1/16/13670.html

Also here is one you might find fun by him labelled Professors as Inquisitors : http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/de...1/25/14337.html

I think that everyone would do well to remember that first we are all human and we should think of ourselves as that above all else (as one of my friends put it!) If we did, I think that we would have fewer squabbles over "national identity" or whatever it is.

I think that the example you offered about screaming was definately out of line for the Govenor, no matter what the cause was. It is even worse simply because he didn't speak English well...honestly, most high school graduates, unfortunately, can't use the English language properly and we complain about people who are new to the country not being able to speak it? Give me a break.

There's a difference between the "Happy Holidays" nonsense and asking immigrants to entirely give up their culture/beliefs to become "American." I think that the issue is getting complicated by blurring the line between the two. Frankly, I think that America can use a blending in of some other culture's philosophies; so far, I've yet to see a culture be 100% on the ball. For example, I'm 2nd generation Chinese and there is something to be said for the virtue of respecting your elders that seems to be lacking in this culture.

Furthermore, it's one thing for me to wish you "Merry Christmas", but it's an entirely different for me to force you to say "Merry Christmas."
