photosynthesis
*I don't mean to offend by using the word 'qwerty', but to have a catch all word for any 'alternate' sexuality, be it homosexual, transgender, or anything else.
you could just say GLBT
you are intolerant to homosexuals in america. You hate americans
Being intolerant of homosexuals and intolerant of homosexuality are entirely different matters. I am intolerant of homosexuality, not homosexuals. There are a lot of things people get caught in... drugs, alcohol, unhealthy eating habits, sexual sin, etc. It is always important to be compassionate to those whose lives are entrenched in sin, but never to condone sinful activities like drinking yourself into oblivion, being bulimic or being a drug addict. There are a lot of sinful lifestyles out there that society eschews. But for some reason, homosexuality isn't seen as a sinful lifestyle, it's "who you are." Would you tell that to a prostitute or a heroin addict? No, you'd try to get them some help. That's what we should be doing with homosexuals, not patting them on the back and telling them "good job"
The Media is pretty wack, and only getting worse....too bad so many ppl watch it. dustthouart
Why don't you same people protest when "Titanic" or straight, though not married, sex/love is depicted? Are we just going to be mad at "hollywood" for showing gays? What about violence (The Patriot, Braveheart) straight sex (almost any movie at all esp. comedy) incest (Gladiator) theft (Oceans 11)....Come on people - we've got to be "all or nothing" on morality....So are all those movies bad...or just ones that have gays? Peace and love to you all!!!
There are several reasons why I protest this kind of movie more than the ones you mentioned: 1. Natural law - Homosexuality is INTRINSICALLY disordered. Heterosexuality is not. So while heterosexual fornication is sinful, in fact a mortal sin, homosexuality is, I think, more deadly to the person while here on earth, because heterosexual attraction can be channelled into marriage but homosexuality can't. Homosexuality is of course not the only deviant sexuality. I'm not sure what the Church says about this, but I consider sadomasochism to be just as intrinsically disordered as homosexuality. Masochism is something I struggle with. In most cases, I refuse to support movies that favorably portray disordered sexuality: homosexuality, bestiality, sadomasochism, pedophilia, etc. 2. Likelihood of people to have their minds/morals changed by the movie - Movies that favorably portray theft are usually either campy, or trying to make a point about poverty. There have been movies about bank robbers for a long time, yet attitudes towards bank robberies have not become more lenient. 3. One thing at a time - Heterosexual fornication is deeply ingrained in modern culture. Homosexual fornication has not yet gotten ingrained to the same extent. Therefore it makes sense to tackle the shallower problem before it gets deeper!

I don't know what they were, but they were almost like ski lift trolleys but they were over some sort of crevasse. Well Nicholas Cage was in one, and there was a terrorist in one too behind him. The terrorist threw a grenade in Nicholas Cage's cart, but before it exploded Nicholas Cage threw it back in his, and by then there was no time to re-throw it back, so the terrorist blowed up! Awesome huh?
Guest Rick777
A lot of people in California are gay. I think anyway. Certainly not the majority of people in the state, but I think California probably has the most gay people in ratio to the rest of the population? Or maybe just the most gay people in number, but considering the state has the highest population in the Union that wouldn't really be conclusive. Anyway, assume there is a high concentration of gay people in California in proportion to the rest of the United States. Considering Hollywood is in California, and just about most of these award shows are in California, it stands to reason that the people in California with access to mediums to reach people across the nation would want to remove much of the stigma from "gay" and make it okay. Not to say that it isn't okay to be gay, but many people(I'd guess) are uncomfortable with progressing gay rights to the point of, say, marriage. Not to mention that California is predominately liberal to begin with. California wants you to stop being against increasing gay rights in the government. I think.
