VeraMaria
i don't get offended when i see the hannukah menoras all over the school (though it's public). what's the problem, why can't we have christams?
lilac_angel
Well, Jesus did say that we'd be persecuted... solely because we're Christians (but the world makes it look like it's not persecution; they're tricky like that). Seems the prophecy has definitely been fulfilled a million times over.
Ash Wednesday
If I ever get a house with a yard, I want to put a big nativity scene in the front and have just about every kind of lawn ornament facing it in adoration............. not just shepherds, angels, and ox and lamb, but also pink illuminated flamingos, santa, reindeer, snowmen, chipmunks, dwarves, birds, fawns, bees, butterflies, lady bugs, squirrels, turtles, frogs..... I want to fill up the ENTIRE YARD, have Christmas lights everywhere, and have also a big sign with lights saying JESUS and/or PRAISE THE LORD. Preach the gospel to every creature! :D

superkiddo7
Most of this has been found to be illegal when challenged. It's not illegal ... and I can understand why a business would do that - and why a city might do that - because it excludes people. And businesses don't want to exclude anyone who might want to shop there, and a city doesn't want to exclude anyone who might want to live, work or spend money there. Cities and busineses in general are not in the business of propping up religion, that is the role of the church.

Most business put up stuff for all the holidays as to antagonize no one. In the predominately Jewish section of our city you see menorahs and Christmas trees. the_rev
What ever happened to freedom of religion? And, what is everyone so afraid of? If a person doesn't agree with something, that doesn't mean any trace of it has to be obliterated. Man you read my mind right there, Sometimes I don't respect other religions, so I should. Because if they respect me, and I in theirs, then freedom of religion won't have a problem!

But by these silly rules about not decorating for Christmas, people are getting excluded -- Christians! Those who whine about being excluded are such hypocrites -- they demand tolerance while offering none! :angered:
