I'm only contemplating the idea because the monthly donations phatmass is receiving right now only cover about 1/2 of the costs of actually running this site... I personally am in a very tough situation financially, so we've been dipping into the "artist funds" just to keep the site up. Anyway. Seeing as I'm not contributing anything financially, however, I would understand if you felt the need to give in to the dark side..... I know when Micah made his forum he had it set up like that. That way when people first come to the site they don't see lots of ads, but those of us that are on a lot can volunteer to see the ads and help keep down the costs a bit. I don't give, because it never really occured to me, but I take up a lot of space here, and I believe in Phatmass, so I will start giving what I can each month. I encourage everyone to do so as well. People who don't donate money get the ads...people who do can opt out.
