DesiringMore
What exactly is the Magisterium?
BLAZEr
The word Magisterium refers to the teaching authority of the Church. It is made up of the Pope and the Bishops who are in communion with him. It also simultaneously refers to the sacred tradition of teachings. So the Pope is not only in communion with his bishops, but with all bishops and popes who preceded him.
Pontifex
"Magisterium of the Church is the power given by Christ to the Church together with infallibility by which the Church teaches authoritatively the revealed truth of the Scripture and holds forth the truth of tradition for Salvation." Peace, Fr. Pontifex
