At World Youth Day in Toronto, shortly after His Holiness arrived at Pearson Airport, they had audiances with the pope and the people of Canada to welcome His Holiness.

This little girls was one who got to come up and sit with him and as she turn she broke down crying and explained he (John Paul II) is the closes one to God.

I love the one with Bono...

The pic with the Koala is such a great image of our leader and sheapard here on earth fufilling and teaching us the commandment by God to have dominion and care for all living things.

That was at WYD in Toronto.. I was there.

That little girl spent months just hoping that she could see the Pope. Her mother said that she treated him like some kids treat a celebrity.

She was so overwhelmed when she met him that she was brought to tears. It was because she liked him so much, and was so honored. Not because she was scared.

I have something similar to this as my desktop, but without the text in the corner. I thought this is an absolutely beautiful painting, with the symbolism of the lamb and just as a piece of [gorgeous] art.

It's one of Catherine LaCunga's favorite pictures of the Trinity!!! (And very popular among feminist theologians.) Hooray for Andrei Rublev (he painted it).
