Should I be worried now that she has an ax?

Well, it makes "get off the playground" a little more sinister than it used to be.

At least that's how I've interpreted it.

You don't need to be as worried about it as I am. She knows where I live ...

[quote name='Carrie' date='Dec 29 2005, 10:04 AM']Personally, I think girls bully worse than boys.  Boys fight it out and its over.  Girls drag out their bullying forever and can be just plain vicious.

It's true. Girls can be downright nasty. It's odd that they think this is new . . . maybe the means of bullying have changed/increased with Internet and cell phones, but I think girls have bullied each other since, well, there have been girls on this earth.

It seems to me that usually boys will just decide whether they think you're cool or they hate your guts, and they'll make it pretty clear to you which one they think. But girls will be your best friend one day and your worst friend the next (and then be back to being "friends" again the next day). At least that was how it was from first grade through high school.

[quote name='homeschoolmom' date='Dec 29 2005, 10:39 AM']But yeah, girl bullies are nothing new:

It's odd, because on the show, she and Laura actually became good friends when they were all grown up and married. But in the books, they were rivals all the way till Laura's wedding day (both were interested in Laura's future husband).

Yeah... silly Michael Landon... He should have just given his characters completely new names to begin with... after the first season, they'd departed so far from the books it was unrecognizable....

I'm humming the theme song right now. Want me to call you and sing it to you?
