The Thomas train set looks like the pieces don't stay together as good, and it doesn't look like the trains are remote controlled like GeoTrax. Also, the GeoTrax trains interact with the buildings and stuff--everything moves and is controlled with the remote control and levers. It's AWESOME!!! Thomas is not run by a remote control but by human hands. I'd have to say Thomas is a bit more complicated, way more expensive (I'm going out on a limb here), and not nearly as cool as GeoTrax, that is, if you like the remote control v. the older classic stuff.
