Growing up I always called them crayfish until....

I went to college in New Orleans. They call them crawfish down there in the Cresent City. And boy do they know how to cook them! My favorite is a nice crawfish etouffee.

Oh yeah, I eat the tails and can smell of elderberries the heads.

I must admit that I prefer to just eat the tails.

I call them Crawfish, I dont know why, sometimes I use crayfish, but Crawfish sounds more interesting, we dissected one in middle school

Anyway...the sure do smell.

Crayfish.

lol, I remember when I was younger one of my uncles caught a few of them in a bucket and showed them to me and my cousins, and we pretended that we were watching a crayfish soap opera unfolding. We even provided voices for each crayfish.
Yeah, I had a weird childhood...

We did that too. It's not weird.

Why would anyone call a crayfish "Bob"? It doesn't go well with their angular structure. :ninja:

I don't know. Ask the two people who do...

The town I live in in South Louisiana (Breaux Bridge) is called the Crawfish Capital of the World. And we have a Crawfish Festival every year. I grew catching crawfish with my Dad. It used to be a pretty decent living.
