I am glad you all approve! I am hoping to help many of you so you do not have to go through the daily depression and anxiety I experience. It is all a result of my past demonic problem.

Ash Wednesday

D'oh... I screwed up on the indulgences question.... 99%!

:bounce:

What a refreshing site... I get so tired of Catholics having that "it's no big deal" attitude...

Said one Catholic that I know of, regarding the fact that non-Catholic Christians taking communion being forbidden:

"Who cares?! Big whoop! We all believe in Jesus!"

*hugs to you frank*

I've had problems with depression and anxiety in the past. (Mostly the anxiety part) Once in a while it comes back now and then and tries to give me grief but with proper care I keep it at bay.

(((prayers)))

Does it usually take a priest with special training to be an exorcist in some particularly volatile cases? I always thought that was the case but I'm not sure.

Hi Ash Wednesday,

Regarding your question on being an exorcist. To what I have read as well as been told by him (I have been corresponding with him for close to 2 years), an exorcist has to be all most without sin. When an exorcism is performed the devil or demons question the ability of the exorcist to do the exorcism. If the exorcist has past sins the demon/devil will bring them to the attention of the exorcist.

Yes, an exorcist has to have the sanctity and humility of a saint to be successful.

That is why there are so few exocists. I believe there are only a dozen designated exorcists in the U.S.
