franciscanheart
i think its also important to note the differences in "seriousness" about learning about the faith. i am serious about learning about my faith... if i wasnt i wouldnt ask questions. i wouldnt test things. not everyone has to be as 'hardcore' as some of the big names on phatmass to be considered serious or interested in learning about their faith. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
i have a problem taking myself seriously, especially when im trying to spread the Truth to others.
photosynthesis
there's nothing wrong with being a generalist and knowing a little bit about everything.. I think I'm more of a generalist than someone who has an area of expertise in a narrowly defined field. Even the subject I majored in in college isn't something I'm serious about to the point of healthy obsession. I liked it enough to study it for 4 years but don't feel compelled to go to grad school for it or anything...

scardella
Actually, I wouldn't worry about it, unless it's something that will prevent you from getting a job, etc. Otherwise, it's just a part of your personality. Church Punk
How do you become a serious person?
Well there is different types of seriousness. You can be seriuos during your work, serious about your Faith, but it would not mean you have to be a serious straight face person all the time. I know Im serious at work (for the most part) but as soon as im out of here, watch out! If you are not naturally serious I dont think you should pressure your self to be serious. Being fun loving is great. I love silly people and try to be silly as much as possible its fun. You cant take live very seriously. You will only stress you self out. This place is not our home, might as well enjoy the time we have here. Laugh, Love and be Merry, it will make the time go by faster hahhahah
