Blessed Be God!!!

I've had mine for almost a year and half now and I love it. Though I don't do it as often as I like I'm trying to get into a better habit of it. Let me know about yall.

Don't have one, but would like to... Can you just pick one up at the local Catholic bookstore? I was probably gonna stop by there anyways today after work... maybe I'll check it out. It would definitely be a great habit to get into. :)

yea they're available there. You can get the one volume (christian prayer book) for I think around 35-40$. Or get the 4 volume set which is what the religous use and that's around 30 bucks a pop and there are four of them

I try to pray the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the morning and at night. I like it a lot, but I would eventually like to get either the book of Christian Prayer or the Liturgy of the Hours eventually.

Awesome. I'll definitely check it out. I was going to go and check out the price on the CCC, but maybe I'll splurge and get them both. ^_^

I was given a Christian Prayer book by the priest who just recently got transfered away from our parish. I don't quite know how to use it, but one of these days I'm going to figure it out.

awww jabber...you def. need to learn it. If you like to I could teach ya. It's awesome and helps you learn the psalms and canticles within the bible.

I personally love Friday night prayer. Psalm 88 baby! Best song remnant has written. lol.

advice is...you start of by crossing your safe and saying "God come to my assistance." the response is "Lord make haste to help me."
then "Glory to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit."
response is a little different then what you think, "As it was in the beginning, is now, and WILL BE FOREVER, amen."
Then say the antiphon
then read the psalm. When done with the psalm go back to the anitphon.

I would say start with night prayer. It's the shortest, simpilest, and most straight forward of the hours.
I was looking at websites to use and i found this one http://chastitysf.guidetopsychology.com/loh.htm

I would LOVE to get it (itsonmyamazondotcomwishlisthinthint).

But, I actually use "In Conversation with God" by Francis Fernandez for my daily meditations. It is a multi volume set, covering the liturgical year. I love it.
