Communion and Liberation

I'm in CL, too, and yes, you should subscribe to Traces!

It's a really good magazine, and it's monthy. On top of it, they often throw in these little booklets.

The one thing that I love about CL is that there isn't a membership list. There's the fraternity which is more formal, and there's the Priestly Fraternity of St. Charles Borromeo which is the official order of CL priests (although there are lots of other priests who are in the movement, too). I also love all the people I have met. They are the most well-rounded and real orthodox Catholics I have ever met, and that's what really attracted me to the movement. Well...that and Giussani's writings.

If you want to read books, there's a good one compiled by Rondoni that has a bunch of stuff by Giussani about the movement. I believe it's called, "Communion and Liberation."

is there a minnium age?

How do I become a member per se of communion and liberation

is there a special ceremony, installment, or do I just say I belong to this movement and it is up to me to identify to that.

Do they have frequent meetings?

as far as i know, no there is no minimum age.

look for a School of Community in your area. most schools meet weekly, some bi-weekly.

go to http://www.clonline.org/us/ and click on "Contacts" and it will bring up a list of states that have communities.

to be a member of the movement.

There is no type of membership card, but only the free participation of persons. The basic instrument for the formation of adherents is weekly catechesis, called “School of Community.”

so, find a school of community, start reading the book they are reading (i think in the US right now they are reading "Why the Church"), and join in the discussion.

What if there isn't a school of community near by that I can go to, like communion and liberation isn't in my dioceses, can I still start becoming a part of the movement somehow.

start by reading the book that all the communities as a whole are reading Why the Church.

i've asked my friend who is part of CL to come check this thread out, because i am still new to CL myself.
