rkwright
I've been to many masses where latin was not used, in fact the mass I go to now is one of the few that consistantly uses latin. The Novus Ordo Mass didn't come about until 1969, and the new Missal in 1970. So those quotes predate the new mass, I'm not sure how applicable they are.. and just off a gut feeling (though I could be wrong) I don't think a Novus Ordo Mass is required to have latin in it? dspen2005
at the parish that my order runs, we have a Solemn Latin Mass every Sunday. Plus, we often have daily Mass in Latin here, at the Friary.... SC does call for a generous use of Latin -- afterall it is still the language of the Church. Matty_boy
Even if it were not required hypothetically, it would be nice to have because it's tradition.
