Latin in masses?

Is there any proof that there is supposed to be Latin in the English Novus Ordo masses?? :idontknow:

I heard there should at least be some...Thanks y'all!

true, true, I'm just glad I go to a Novus ordo mass in latin. My priest is very rigid too. haha. I love that.

I've been to many masses where latin was not used, in fact the mass I go to now is one of the few that consistantly uses latin.

The Novus Ordo Mass didn't come about until 1969, and the new Missal in 1970. So those quotes predate the new mass, I'm not sure how applicable they are.. and just off a gut feeling (though I could be wrong) I don't think a Novus Ordo Mass is required to have latin in it?

at the parish that my order runs, we have a Solemn Latin Mass every Sunday. Plus, we often have daily Mass in Latin here, at the Friary....

SC does call for a generous use of Latin -- afterall it is still the language of the Church.
