shortnun
Once, the baby (6 mo. old) I was nannying for had hiccups. It was so hilarious. He didn't mind them at all. He just went on playing with his mobile toy and would convulse every few seconds.

djc08
For some reason I get hiccups during tests at school. Like today during Biology I couldn't stop. And then everyone started laughing and the teacher just stared me down.
FutureSoror
Have you ever tried gargling water to get rid of them?
Apathy
I can't say that I really care for hiccups.
Sojourner
When I was a kid I got them all the time. For a whie there, I'd mainly get them when I was mean to a sibling and then laughed on him. One of my friends calls that Instant Karma.
Carrie
I hate getting hiccups. Holding your breath doesn't cure them.
sweetpea316
The only way I can get rid of them is by eating a spoonfull of peanut butter. It hasn't failed me yet!
Sojourner
I hate getting hiccups. Holding your breath doesn't cure them.
One time my friend and her now husband were driving to her parents' house when he got the hiccups. It went on for a while, so my friend (who was driving) decided to try something drastic. She lets out a blood-curdling scream, hoping to cure them via the "scare the carp out of him" method. He jumps in pure terror, plastering himself against the passenger side window. He later said, "I thought something was trying to eat your leg." He still had hiccups afterwards.
