zunshynn
This doesn't quite fit in this forum, but I figured most of you would be the most knowledgeable about it. Mods, feel free to move it if you want. I have to cite some church documents for a research paper, but I have some questions. 1) Who should be credited as the author of a Vatican II (or any council) document? The Pope who proclaimed it? or the council itself? 2) How do you write the name of a saint with no last name? For example, would it be Martyr, St. Justin. ? St. Justin Martyr? or the same with a pope. Is it John Paul II, Pope. ? Or Pope John Paul II? 3) For the Vatican II documents and the Code of Canon Law, I'm using an MS-DOS collection compiled by David Sayres of the Catholic Resource Network. I know Sayres would be the editor but I don't know who to cite as the publisher. Would it be the Catholic Resource Network? or Libreria Editrice Vaticana? 4) For the Church Fathers, I'm using the collection from http://www.zeitun-eg.org. Since they're in the public domain, I don't know how to cite the collection. Any help would be appreciated greatly! Thanks so much!
phatcatholic
well, it probably depends on the style u are supposed to use: MLA, APA, Chicago, etc....if this is a paper for class, i suggest just asking your professor. you can also consult books that quote from church documents, to see how they do it.
