I know JP the Great is a saint, to this I have no doubt.  But trhe process to Sainthood must be respected, and if it must be respected those who might oppose it should be able to do so freely and without fear of being reprimanded.

However, the 'seven points' being points to which ALL catholics should be obedient to the Magisterium does not inspire confidence that they will suceed.  They obviously have very little understanding themselves of the validity or the Holiness of the Church.  They need to be educated, not excommunicated.

They should be seriously listened to and replied to in order for everyone to understand two things;

1. No stone was left unturned in declaring JP the Great a saint.

and

2. All points against his saint hood where brougt forward, and replied to with proper explanation as to why these reasons do not prevent sainthood.

just my 2 cents (Canadien currency as always, which soon might be worth more than the US greenback!!! HA!)
Back to you Bob...

Those dudes would not get any dates off of catholicmatch.com that's for sure.

I just wanna get real, respecting the canonization process has nothing to do with bearing the slander of apostates who have no shame in heinously disrespecting the Pope (former).
I mean geez, they're so low they're willing to play the pedophilia card. I'm not going to pretend this kind of trash is legitimate conversation. The curia is perfectly competent to carry out the canonization process without the intervention of pissy and slimy dissenters with no shame. And I by all means respect that process just for the record.

And seriously, I suspect a good percentage of people like this have already incurred an automatic excommunication on some level. It's really not that hard if you have the rebellious and obstinate spirit so typical of the dissenters camp. They like to act nice and well meaning, but they are wolves in sheeps clothing no doubt. They obviously don't hear Christ's voice, and they are ashamed of His teachings. Of such will Christ be ashamed before His Father.

Anyone who would strike so low a blow to one of Christ's faithful servants is doing the will of their father the devil.
They think they dishonor JP2, but they dishonor themselves, and look like creeps.

I was a bit.. over zealous perhaps. I'm sure if I met one of those people I would just feel bad for them. They are in the midst of the Church, yet they do not know her truth. They are in her bosom, yet they strike out at her. They do not know the liberation and beauty of Catholic truth. They have become an adversary, they have been deceived. :(

Archbishop Dziwisz makes a response:

Critics help beatification process, archbishop says

12/7/2005
RAKOW, Poland (CNA) – Archbishop Stanislaw Dziwisz of Krakow, who for 27 years served as former personal secretary of Pope John Paul II, said that criticisms by dissident theologians only reinforces the beatification process of Karol Wojtyla.

Advertisment

In remarks made to the Polish news agency PAP, the archbishop, referring to a campaign launched by some theologians against the beatification of John Paul II, said that “this kind of manifestation only hastens the beatifications process.”

“Of the Holy Father,” the archbishop said, “we can only say that he always defended man before false ideologies and their preachers and history vindicated him.”

“I think it’s one more opportunity to acknowledge the sanctity of John Paul II,” he added.

He added that “there is no reason to fear for the beatification process, because nobody serious will consider these critics.”

The Rome Diocese vicariate, where the case for beatification has been opened, is seeking testimonies concerning the holiness of John Paul II, and has made available an to which witnesses can contribute.

Due to the significant number of testimonies and the limited staff involved in the beatification cause, they have only considered the serious testimonies, well detailed and supported by documents, preferably in Italian or English.
I agree with you.

I actually prayed to JPII to ask him to heal my eye. I had been hit in the eye a few years back. There was alot of damage, I wasn't blind or anything, but alot of damage was done. About last year I went to the doctor and he told me that the pressure in my eye had shot up, and if it went any higher I'd need eye drops to take everyday for the rest of my life, a dramatically increased chane of getting a cataract, and many other problems. I was rescheduled to go see my doctor about a month after JPII died. My grandma told me a few weeks beforr my appointment to ask  JPII to heal my eye.  I prayed every night, and when I went for my appointment, the doctor was amazed to find that the pressure had shot back down, and that there's about a 1/100 chance it'll shoot back up to as high as it was. He couldn't explain why it had happened, but I knew why :D:
