Don't like your tone, chief. Since you're the founder here we'll take your reply as authoritative. As promised and given your invitation, I'll be looking hard at filing an FTC complaint. Don't be surprized if this supposedly "Catholic " forum hears from them.

Grow up buddy! Somebody hurt your feelings, and the founder and operator of the site didn't come rushing to your aid. And called you on your veiled insults and slander against the members of this phorum.

BTW: Good luck on your FTC thing...

(I just wonder what authority they have over an internet site...)

From the FTC complaint form:
While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint helps us investigate fraud, and can lead to law enforcement action. The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel®, a secure, online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide

Perhaps John had some moral authority to be upset at the initial situaiton, but as far as I can see, he's lost any credibility he once had.
Let it be known that DAF is in full agreement with dUSt.

g'day Mr. Lowell.

I edited my last post because it attempted humor and upon reflection I'm not sure if that's appropriate.

To put it somewhat delicately: I suggest that our brother may not be entirely culpable for the offensive nature of his postings.

Mr. Lowell, if you happen to read this, please see a counsellor. Or, for starters, print out this thread and the "homosexuals in the priesthood" thread to which you refer. Take them to your local parish priest, or someone who is not a friend or family member, and get their reaction.

For the rest of us, let's not make fun of him or get too offended. We're all a LITTLE bit neurotic, right?

dUSt,

Since you invited this step I thought I'd keep you posted. I've looked into FTC remedies both for what's been happening here over the last several days and, evidently, even more intensely so in the last hour. Unfortunately, its doubtful that the FTC can be of much help to me so a complaint there will not be pursued after all. Other, far more promising avenues would seem available, however, and, if I find them to have merit, they'll be taken. Stay tuned.

Fidei Defensor

As an outsider in this ordeal, I feel quite confused.

If I cannot file a complaint to anyone about the disgusting and offending pornography websites that degrade women and not to mention corrupt people's souls, nor get websites shut down that teach countless innocent youth how to masturbate and that looking at pornography is okay, I fail to see how anyone will listen to a complaint about uncharitableness on a web forum.

Just my $0.02.

Oh, there are people who will listen, Fidei.
Not people you ordinarily wanna mess with, but they will listen.
And for the right price, they'll act.
I'm tellin' ya, it ain't pretty though.
