HeavenlyCalling
I think you mean "have nightmares about." : Oh, and the good priest also holds a Guinness World Record.
What does he hold a record for. I am confused, why is he being persectured, by whom, for what? The post is a little vague
Thy Geekdom Come
What does he hold a record for.
I think it's something about him doing the longest underwater riverbed walk...i.e. he held is breath and walked across a river on the riverbed. I can't remember exactly what the details were...I think he talked about it once or I read it in his EWTN bio.

People want to paint a bad picture of the MFVA's (his "missionary assignment"). Maybe this is an older request, from when he was living in Papua New Guinea, but I don't think so. hermit
Havent been to Phatmass for awhile, I made a strong statement around halloween and offended a few people and I apoligize for that..... I come back here today and I see this, and I have to say something.... How anybody can persecute or say any thing bad about Fr. Shaughnessy is beyond me, He is one of the most inspiring Homilists I have ever heard and I have all the respect in the world for his shoot from the hip dont mince words style, He tells it like it is and doesnt care who he offends and I miss him on EWTN.... He is definately in my prayers....... God Bless and Mary Keep hermit
Lil Red
since this looks like an older email, this thread is closed. please pray for the good Father and all priests. O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You Yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil's traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. I ask You, Jesus, for a special blessing and for light for the priests before whom I will make my confessions throughout my lifetime. Amen.
