Didacus' Monday rant!

Just got off the phone with the city's tax person. Here's my problem...

For several years now I've been trying to change my school system beneficiary from English-Public to Catholic-French. Filled out the forms several times, still the changes where not being implimented.

After 3 years of this BS, I gave them a call and told them that if the change is not implimented before the new year I will stop paying my property taxes until the change is implemented. i've had engouh!

I don't know if a bunch of evil squirrels are chewing up my forms and making sure my tax money goes to support public schools or whatever, but I am genuinely starting to feel like a conspiracy is in the makings here!

first of all, when you purchase a property in Ontario, by default, your tax money will always go to the public system. BS BS BS BS Itshould prompt the buyer to specify a preference and the goverment should not prefer one group to another with its 'default' value. And then to establish impossible red tape to make sure that the money stays public, or whatever their problem is... ARRRRGGHHHHH!!!!

Anyways, it looks like things will be back in-line after this Tuesday 4:00 meeting I'm having with these people. I hope so...; 'cause if not I'm going to be huntin' for squirrels in my backyard! (we also have bears, beavers and skunks...)

[quote name='tomasio127' date='Nov 28 2005, 11:30 AM']Can you do that all throughout Canada? Or is it just in Quebec and Ontario?

I haven't gotten past figuring out Ontario or understanding Quebec.

(are there still people in Manitoba?)

[quote name='tomasio127' date='Nov 28 2005, 12:04 PM']I wouldn't know. Are there people in Saskatchewan or Alberta still?

Alberta is just a filling up!

They have two hockey teams there. (that's how Canadiens get on the map..)

Like St-John's newfoundland. We know there is people there becasue the babyLeafs play there (Toronto MapleLeafs farm team).

Nothing like that in Sask. or in Manitoba... Maybe they'/ve been empty for years and no one noticed.

Maybe I'll move there and vote myself as prime minister of manitoba... then I'll outlaw gay marriage in that province and just PO all the federal MPs who legalized it.

OK

Missed out this Monday on my rant so I figured I'll post:

Didacu's Monday rant - on friday! :D:
==============================
OKm here;s the deal...

Moved recentluy (like three four months ago) and of course before I get out of my last house the electrical utility sends me a bill to clear everythingl. This bill came in at over 1400$!!!

Aparently we had been underpaying and blahblah and needed to catch up the bill within a month or all services would be terminated! i asked to have a little time to pay up but noooooooooo... it had to be within a month!

SFD!!! :maddest: :maddest: :maddest: :maddest:

Finally, to make a long stroy short, I had to blow my Christmas fund and vacation fund to pay off the 'urgent' bill which had accumulated without my knowledge and that the utility accumulated at their end and blah blah blah....

Well... I told my chick, we're not going to stand for this!

*she looked at me with a scared look, the one she gets when she knows I'm about to go on a rampage*

No, we'll disconnect from the grid!

Long story short, next summer I'm re-opening my mortgage, getting a wood-burning boiler furnace installed with a few solar panels and battery packs. My house will be entirely independcant from the grid and tehn I call those idiots once a month 9around invoice-bill time I guess) and blast them with a couple of cranks calls! Ah yes, poetic justice!

The best part is that the payment per month on the loan to install the equipement will most likely be a fraction of what I need to pay while connected on the grid! The more i am looking into it, the more the benefits make sense and the more I am asking myself why the flippin' did it take me sooo long in the first place! I should thank those sh**he**s for being the s***h**ds they where - they got me off my arse and soon will be off the grid (I give myself 10 months starting now).

i should thank them...

I should...

I won't...

but maybe I should....

We have soooo much anger....

It's usually repressed by our politeness, but Didacus is French, and I'm Irish, and you can't hold back that anger.

We're also Catholic and so disenfranchisement (for all intents and purposes) from the political oligarchy adds fuel to the fire.

Plus it's election time and our gov. controlled media hates us as conservateurs.

Our government has had 5 terms. It is the most corrupt western government. It steals our tax dollars to pay for their party's elections. It is lead by scandal-causing Catholics. It does whatever it wants.

Same is true for our provincial government.

And other Canadians don't care.

Darn straight I'm ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
