I am trying to gather some good pictures featuring the Catholic consecrated life, with nuns, priests, monkes, etc.

It is for the Online Catholic Vocation Club web banner to go at the top of the web page.

your help in the quest for the perfect image is appreciated.

Under His Mercy,

Eddie Lee

You're only one letter away from calling "monks" "monkies"! Now we know what Eddie thinks of monks!

Juuust kidding ;)

Hmm as for pics, if you got them off of websites you would need permission to use them. The only ones I know of would be on websites. Of course, www.olamshrine.com/the_nuns would by my favorite spot, but there are quite a good sites out there you could get pics from. If you'd like to see some great Benedictine sisters, go to http://www.oblatesofmary.com/.

Great site ;) !

I went to the order's website... they say that they are "traditional Catholic."

I consider myself to be traditional in that I like older hymns and I think Gregorian chant is cool...

are these people obedient to the Holy Father + Vatican II? I am wondering if I should be sketched out...

Yup, as far as I know, the Oblates of Mary ARE in union with the Holy Father. Actually, I think they're a sister branch of the FSSP.

You're right; they are in full union with Rome, have no affiliation with schismatic organizations, and have many (if not all) of their Masses said by FSSP priests. I was skeptical myself, but I know someone who discerned with them before entering the PCPA's who filled me in.

I met Sr. Mary (I assume she's a novice now unless they have a two-year postulancy, and therefore I don't know her new name if she has one...) at a retreat in Alabama last year!

Isn't that how you make Monk plural? Monkes?

Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. Founded by the Holy Father to as an organization of priests in union with Rome to celebrate the Tridentine Mass. Kind of a replacement of the SSPX after they went into schism ;)

The plural of monk is monks.

And the SSPX isn't in schism... let's not have this argument again.

The Oblates are very cool- and their house is packed.

If you want great pics go to www.carmelitemonks.org or www.olamshrine.com or www.sistersofcarmel.org

If she is the one I know----Sister Mary is now Sister Bernadette. She became a novice on August 22. Her parents said she was absolutely beautiful that day!

Ora et Labora

Oh that's wonderful! Thanks for telling me! She was a very beautiful girl before she entered, so I can imagine she was RADIANT on her investiture day :D
