Then you go to a "Novus Ordo"

The "Novus Ordo" is the current liturgy. The "Tridientine" is the liturgy from (I believe) 1962. It is all in Latin, the priest faces the altar, etc.

I attend the Missa Normativa. However, since it was not a choice, I put the Novus Ordo.

However, I have serious sympathies for the approved indult Mass.

On the other hand, I have no sympathy for those who are schismatic, simply because they attend an illicit Mass and conduct illicit Sacraments/sacramentals.

So, if it is approved, it is kewl, if not, no way.....but the Missa Normativa is where my loyalties lie.

I didn't know there was one in Milwaukee (West Allis, actually)! From masstimes.org, it looks like their 11:30 Mass is in Latin. This makes me happy. :) Praise God for our wonderful new archbishop for allowing this. :)

I don't think our diocese has an approved Latin Mass. I know it used to but I don't think it does anymore. So, Novus Ordo.

Fr. Skeris is a great priest. How is his health? I have known him since the mid 90s.

Novus Ordo on this side...If done right it's every bit as beautiful as the traditional Latin Mass.

Our Parish was started by the Irish Dominicans...so there are noticable Irish trade marks in the Liturgy. Instead of the Acclamations of faith, we acclaim "My Lord and My God" when the Consecrated Host is lifted.

Man, I love Mass.

So have I. I served mass for him when he was at Christendom College (which was when I went to school there.)
He would advertise for "stout lads and true" to assist Mass as Lectors and Acolytes. "No Casper Milquetoasts need apply!"
He called himself "the Legitimate Liturgist" and was a great gourmet cook who had the best cookouts. "Drink much, lads!"
