My protestant sisters don't understand why we have all these special times, they say normal christians (Bible Christians to them) don't believe in it because it's not biblical.

Can ya'll throw some sites at me>??

I have celebrated Advent in all sorts of "traditional" protestant churches, even in a Baptist one. Most churches recognize Good Friday and some even more of Lent. I believe Anglicans observe Ash Wednesday, but I wouldn't swear to it. I'll do some digging and get back to this.

Newly started Protestant Churches don't recognize these feast days and times, but mainstream Protestants like Anglicans, Episcopalians, Lutherans, and Methodists do. It's a little arogant for ''Bible'' Christians who read the oldschool King James Bible to think they are the normal ones. All of these except the Evangelical groups observe Ash Wednesday also and even recieve ashes like Catholics do.

Remind them that in the Old Testament, God extablished many set feasts and holy days. Things like Passover, the Feast of Booths, etc (read Exodus and Leviticus. They mention several). These days were specific times when people were supposed to remember certain things. It isn't that this was the only time that God wanted them to remember them, but He felt it necessary to set specific days to draw people's attention to them. As Christians, we do the same.
