Fidei Defensor
Ive been seeing the Vatican flag flown more often around here. My Church has an American flag and Vatican flag in the back of church on either side of the door. But ive seen the Vatican flag being flown at the Diocese headquarters and such. Legally, the Vatican flag can be flown at the same height as the American flag, as can any state or foreign nation's flag. Technically, by international agreement, it is illegal to fly any one nation's flag higher than the other during time of peace. (In reguards to the American flag being higher than the Vatican flag.. however, the Vatican flag deserves to be higher )

Jazz4jesus
I think my church has 3 flags (Texas Vatican and US) and they are all flown at the same height. I cant rember exactly since its been a couple weeks sincce i been home. But I know if we have all 3 they are all at same Height. Texas is special like that and are allowed to do that, We can do so much cause we were a country at one time
Dreamweaver
I think our church has the American and the Vatican flags in the back of the sanctuary, one on each side. But I could have sworn that I've also seen them in the entrance.... They're the same height. Has anyone flown a Vatican flag at home without an American flag? Has anyone noticed that many Protestant churches fly a Christian flag? (white, blue canton with a red cross upon the canton)? I just saw that it was invented in 1897. Anyone know when the Vatican flag was made?
Ash Wednesday
My old parish didn't have any flags in the actual church itself, which I found kind of nice. We did have an American flag and a Vatican flag in the social hall next to the church, though. And that was fine with me.
