Ok, at a dance a couple weeks ago, I danced w/one of my guy friends, and we slow danced, and i feel we got a little close, we weren't freaking or anything, i would never allow that, but I let him put his arms all the way around me and hold me really close, and even though he knows I don't want a boyfriend, i feel i lead him on in some way, and i'm really uncomfortable when i think about it. Did i do something wrong? did i sin in any way at all?

You didn't lead him on in anyway...He knew you didn't want him as your boyfriend, and just dancing as friends isn't wrong. I dance with alot of my guy friends and they know that nothing will happen between us.

If you want to call hugging and lifting up your feet dancing, cool.

Next time, insist upon a formal ballroom pose, then lift up your feet and rotate around slowly. This will also help with the closeness issue.

oh yeah, I would suggest talking to a priest in confession since it is obviously bothering you.

YUP, THIS ONE.

RELAX. BREATHE. NO YOU DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG.
If you can't "hug and move with a friend" then there is something seriously wrong with the world.

I would rather dance with a friend then someone who asked me that I didn't know. A little thing called TRUST.

thank goodness we're catholic...

Of course, dancing is a relative term nowadays. If you move around next to each other I suppose that's dancing.

I wouldn't see holding one another and dancing as a sin...

however, depending on who you are and the degree of passion, it could be a near occasion of sin.

Not anymore. My Methodist roomate loves to dance. Anyways, Methodists are no longer the hot seat of the Holiness movement. They passed it onto the Nazarenes and the Pentecostals, many of whom are cooling on those issues now also...
