cmotherofpirl
Hypnosis is immoral. Straight from my seminary rector's mouth. It is immoral because you surrender your free will during it. Don't get hypnotized.
You don't surrender your free will, you simply put it in abeyance for awhile. It can work well in a theraputic environment, and getting pyschological help is not immoral.
beatty07
I'm interested in this because a friend was just telling me that after professional hypnosis, he has never wanted a cigarette. He was a fairly heavy smoker before. So it definitely can work...but I share the reservations of some on this board. JP2Iloveyou...if you get a chance could you press the Rector for some rationale or relevant sources? I know rectors are pretty tough to corner, though.
