Capital Punishment in the USA

Do you think capitlal punishment, as practiced in the modern day United States, can be morally acceptable?

Ahh, but two things. That's not morals we're now discussing, just engineering and electronics, etc. :)

And the other, that's only the US. :)

No specifically we are talking about the protection of the innocent. Which is the criteria for the necessity of the death penalty.

So if it is assured that no one can escape from a supermax prison, would you agree that there is no need for the death penalty in the US?
