jbike
That is true. As much as I don't like Bush's economic plan, I must put Life ahead of the economy. I'm an independant, but I don't vote Dem. Peace!

Lounge Daddy
don't you think its a little immoral to switch parties and then vote for someone in hopes that they lose? Nah... It's called "Politics"
God Conquers
haha. My Grandparents are members of two conservative parties of Canada which are trying to merge right now. They refused to vote for the merger in both parties even though they could have. It kinda made me think... edited for spelling
M.SIGGA
Why is it that all of us pro-life democrats don't run for office? In due time my friend; look for me in the next decade and hopefully I'll still be on Pm.
geetarplayer
Guh... 61% agree with Gore's pro-choice stance, and only 35% with Bush's pro-life stance. 58% agree with Gore's pro-gay stance, and 32% with Bush's leave-it-to-the-states stance. 50% oppose school prayer, which implies a closer match to Gore's voluntary-only prayer, and 35% with Bush's stance to federally fund values education. Both Gore and Bush support the death penalty, but Bush is more fervent about it; such strong support is backed up by 31% of voters. Gore's more cautious support is backed by 17% of voters, for an overall split of 47% support to 43% opposition. Voters are split on the issue [of absolute gun ownership]: 49% agree with Bush's pro-gun rights stance, while 45% agree with Gore's pro-registration stance. George W. Bush on Religion I dunno... Bush is looking like a pretty good choice for me right now... -Mark Edited December 7, 2003 by geetarplayer

JP2Iloveyou
Pray for John Kerrey. And Joe Biden. When I worked in Washington, I saw both of them receive Communion at an Ash Wednesday Mass. Both are staunchly pro-abortion and won't even support banning PBA. I've posted on voting and American politics many times before, but let me just say this again. A Catholic, cannot, in good conscience, vote for a pro-death candidate. This pretty much excludes all of the democrats. Like it or not, the Republican party in this country is the party favorable to life and Christian values. If you don't believe me, read A National Party No More: The Conscience of a Conservative Democrat by Sen. Zel Miller. I will be the first to tell you that I don't think the Bush administration is perfect. As far as I'm concerned, they are WAY to liberal economicly and socially. However, in our two-party system, they are the best choice IMO. I don't see the point in voting third party so we can get a Clinton clone in there that will wipe out all the good Bush has done. Aside from that, if Roe v. Wade is ever going to get overturned, we need pro-life judges on the federal bench, which means we need more Republicans on the bench. Sorry for being so blunt, but I'm tired of beating around the bush (pardon the pun) on this. We can sit here are say Party A or Party B and Candidate A or Candidate B, but let's be honest shall we. The democratic party in the United States represents the opposite of everything the Catholic Church stands for.
BLAZEr
Oh man, I would pay money to see Kerry or Biden (or Susan Collins for that matter) receiving communion and walking out of church with ashes on their forheads. I would begin to preach to them on the street . . . "By the ashes on your forhead are you condemned and black is the heart of one who makes a display of their faith on their forehead while their hands pull the lever to murder 4,000 babies on Ash Wednesday. May the ashes on your head remind you of the babies who will be made ashes today by your votes."
