So the University is subscribing to a "trial" version of a database. It's not really a subscription. Databases vendors let libraries try them out, and some of them are PRETTY COOL! ArtSTOR for example, was a collection of images of art, paintings for the most part, but some sculpture too. Now, we're trying out the Classical Music Library, and forgot what the other one was called, but it is "world music."

They're AWESOME!

I was just listening to some Dowland tracks that I had never heard before. There were 7 pages of them! I had also better check Palestrina before I post this. Just a sec... there were 161 Palestrina sound files.

For the most past, production is somewhat antiquated. In the Dowland tracks I've heard, and the one Palestrina track I've heard, the vibrato is so think you could house an airplane in it. But it works extemely well with Palestrina. I thought for sure I would prefer a modern production, but Nigra Sum, thick vibrato and all sounded better than the modern version I've heard.

Long story short, I'm likin' this! :)
