Brother Adam
This morning Teresa went to the ER in severe pain. I'll cut out all the gory details and just tell you that we found out Teresa was pregnant, probably somewhere between 2 and 4 weeks along. We were then told she was in the process of miscarrying. It's been a long hellish morning, but Teresa is resting comfortably at home. Pray for peace in this difficult time.

Thy Geekdom Come
I just came into the library complaining to Adam about how I'd lost my catechetics paper in my computer and then logged on to find this. I'm so sorry Adam and Teresa. I can't imagine the pain. Know that you're in my prayers.

Brother Adam
Thank you for your prayers. And its okay Micah, you had no way of knowing. I think the friars feel worse right now. When we didn't even know if Teresa was going to make it we called trying to find a priest, telling them it was a life or death situation and the person who takes the calls refused to contact the friary. theculturewarrior
This is one of my favorite prayers for the departed:
May the Angels lead you into Paradise; may the Martyrs welcome you on your arrival, and guide you into the holy city of Jerusalem. May a choir of Angels welcome you, and as with Lazarus, who was once poor, may you have eternal rest.
Here's the Latin:
In Paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te Martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Jerusalem. Chorus Angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere, aeternam habeas requiem.
