marielapin
Don't go dictionary. We all know the connation of wacko. When someone says "wacko jacko," in reference to Michael Jackson, for example, they hardly mean "eccentric and irrational" only; it's an aspersion on his character. I am saying this with the best intentions; practice your faith, friend, and show them love. I like to use the dictionary to understand the English language. I have used it to look up the connotations of the work smell of elderberries, and freaking. People defend the use of those words, and their connotations and clearly spelt out in the dictionary. I do not think wacko has anything to do with Michael Jackson. I happen to LIKE Jacksons music and I hate that term people have given him. But yes, people think he is eccentric and irrational. He plays with kids toys and lives in an amusment park. I used the term before the whole Michael Jackson case came out and I haven't changed the connotation to mean anything. Would you like it better if I said they were just eccentric, out of touch with reality, and radical extremists?
Seatbelt Blue
Seatbelt Blue, there are only two things I draw my sword out for. The Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Insult them and you insult me. Jesus did speak of love, and that is where the benefit of the doubt comes in. I'm being nice even when I don't want to. I feel sorry for these people, but I am angered and outraged. My parents spanked me when I did something wrong. That was love. I think PETA needs a spanking with a chankla. (flip-flop) Well, is PETA here? Will this attitude do anything to stop this? If you want to be outraged, be outraged; but be cool in your anger, and use it for the glory of God. But be careful in your speech.
Jake Huether
Seatbelt Blue, there are only two things I draw my sword out for. The Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Insult them and you better watch out. Jesus did speak of love, and that is where the benefit of the doubt comes in. I'm being nice even when I don't want to. I feel sorry for these people, but I am angered and outraged. My parents spanked me when I did something wrong. That was love. I think PETA needs a spanking with a chankla. (flip-flop) Ditto: But chankla? That's a bit light don't you think? I would use a belt; buckle side out! Christ used a whip... didn't he?? John 2:15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area,...
