marielapin
http://www.turnto10.com/news/2674886/detail.html Apparently these wackos think Catholics would agree with them on this one. What a shame!

Seatbelt Blue
Friend, do they deserve to be called wackos? I agree it was inappropriate to use religion for advertising purposes, but...wackos? There is nothing antithetical to Catholicism in being a vegetarian. Come now; where is the Christian love? I say this acknowledging my own hipocrisy; but just because we don't always adhere to the standard doesn't mean we should abandon it.
marielapin
I also saw a PETA ad in Pregnancy magazine Monday that had a fat kid eating a humongous hamburger. In red letters on the top: "Feeding your child meat is child abuse." At the bottom, "Go healthy, eat vegetarian." Sponsored by PETA. I couldn't believe it. These wackos are everywhere. I thought this was a sick joke or something. But its true.
jmjtina
no they just didn't........ the power of the press goes both ways......you don't use the Blessed Mother like that and make light of her Holy Immaculate Conception! They sure as heck don't know any better. They have definitely crossed the line, and so close to Christmas! many more billboards are promised to come to other states. This billboard is right across from a Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Parish. They picked this state to launch thier campaign because RI they say it is the most Catholic state. marielapin
I call them wackos, Seatbelt, not because they advocate vegetarianism, but the METHODS they use to try to get across their agenda. Spray painting people's chincilla coats, likening the conditions of chickens to JEWS IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS, and being more upset about the conditions of fetal pigs than fetal humans. Yes, these people are radical extremists. They live in a world of their own, and they are trying to push their agenda on everyone. They are also on a crusade against dissection in schools, urging students to defy their teachers and refuse to dissect the animals. This is getting ridiculous. I liken these folks to the "TRUTH" people who attack cigarettes and the tobacco companies. These people will stop at nothing to impose their views on others. jmjtina
yes, IDIOTS. And I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they don't know any better and calling them idiots......and I'm being nice.

marielapin
By the way, the word wacko means "a person regarded as eccentric or irrational". I regard these people as both eccentric and irrational. Therefore, I call them a wacko.
Seatbelt Blue
yes, IDIOTS. And I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they don't know any better and calling them idiots......and I'm being nice. Christ said nothing about being nice. He spoke of love. I fail to see how this qualifies.

Jake Huether
A good "comeback" billboard would be Mother Mary and St. Joseph slaughtering a sheep for the passover! Hahahahahaha. To bad there is no one willing to sponsor a billboard with the Blessed Mother cradeling an unborn human carcass!
Seatbelt Blue
By the way, the word wacko means "a person regarded as eccentric or irrational". I regard these people as both eccentric and irrational. Therefore, I call them a wacko. Don't go dictionary. We all know the connation of wacko. When someone says "wacko jacko," in reference to Michael Jackson, for example, they hardly mean "eccentric and irrational" only; it's an aspersion on his character. I am saying this with the best intentions; practice your faith, friend, and show them love.
jmjtina
Seatbelt Blue, there are only two things I draw my sword out for. The Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Insult them and you better watch out. Jesus did speak of love, and that is where the benefit of the doubt comes in. I'm being nice even when I don't want to. I feel sorry for these people, but I am angered and outraged. My parents spanked me when I did something wrong. That was love. I think PETA needs a spanking with a chankla.
