Didacus
OK, Now I'm kinda new to these terms... Can someone plesae define them for me/ I kinda guessed that modernist equates to cafeteria catholic, but what precisely are the others? *sigh* life is just too comlicated sometimes
cmotherofpirl
For the poll above consider traditional as schismatics outside the church, orthodox as faithful catholics, and modernists as those idiots who advocate women priests etc and are also those outside the church. But for future reference and better definitions http://www.therealpresence.org/dictionary/dictaintro.htm Edited October 20, 2005 by cmotherofpirl

Aloysius
I hate defining the word "traditional" as schismatic. they are not truly traditional, because it's traditional to obey the pope. I refuse to give them our word. I was thusly torn between orthodox and traditional, because Cam is to an extent both by my definition. they are not mutually exclusive. Jaime
Camster doesn't even like paintings by Cezanne. Cam42
Actually, the definitions go like this..... Traditional, one who is sympathetic to the Tridentine Mass orthodox (as opposed to Orthodox), a faithful Catholic who adheres to right reason and all the teachings of the Church, past and present. Modernist, one who ascribes to the Modernist heresy as defined by Pope St. Pius X.
