Modernist?

So, who thinks that I am a modernist?

OK,

Now I'm kinda new to these terms... Can someone plesae define them for me/

I kinda guessed that modernist equates to cafeteria catholic, but what precisely are the others?

For the poll above consider [i]traditional[/i] as schismatics outside the church, [i]orthodox[/i] as faithful catholics, and [i]modernists[/i] as those idiots who advocate women priests etc and are also those outside the church.



But for future reference and better definitions :)

I hate defining the word "traditional" as schismatic. they are not truly traditional, because it's traditional to obey the pope. I refuse to give them our word.

I was thusly torn between orthodox and traditional, because Cam is to an extent both by my definition. they are not mutually exclusive.

I voted "modernist", but I'm also in a silly mood. It isn't me, its the delicious M&Ms! Mmmm, illicit food in the computer labs. :P:

Actually, the definitions go like this.....

Traditional, one who is sympathetic to the Tridentine Mass

orthodox (as opposed to Orthodox), a faithful Catholic who adheres to right reason and all the teachings of the Church, past and present.

Modernist, one who ascribes to the Modernist heresy as defined by Pope St. Pius X.

You are correct. I hate them....

Salvador Dali is kinda kewl though....but Raphael, Bernini, and Michelangelo rock my sox.
