Brother Adam
At mass last night they actually had pews roped off for the EM's. When they went up there were so many of them (there were a total of maybe 300 of us at mass) I almost thought they were a choir and we should get ready for some good ol' Gospel music to bring down the house. Just nuts.

Three, I am thinking of relinquishing my EM position at my church because of some recent changes. Four, I hope that they get some good ol' fashioned GIRM in their diet

Anywhos... yeah, next time, wake up I don't think I could make it through a charismatic Mass, I might end up going a little crazy... Well, you made it through, did you not? Brother Adam
lol. yep, I made it through. alive, heart is still beating. I will admit there is one thing I envy that charasmatics typically have - joy. One charasmatic here has more joy than most of the traditionalists I know put together. Piccoli Fiori JMJ
Well, we are called to lives of joy, but sometimes we don't always show it. I'm more of a traditional person, and there have been times of joy and some times of stress and such... we are all only human.
toledo_jesus
joy is overrated.
tojo
That's interesting..... my charismatic parish doesn't do that.......
dspen2005
being traditional doesn't imply not having joy -- that seems to be what is being expressed in some of the posts on this thread. Charismatics, IMHO, are too focused on the external feelings of that tingly feeling of goodness and 'joy'. Whereas, again IMHO, the traditionalist or more reserved individual who prefers the Church's traditional approach to worship, has a clear understanding that our joy is to be directed toward God, that at Mass we come to adore and worship the Most Holy Trinity.... we don't come for 'community'. Thy Geekdom Come
On the plus side, I've been to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir...you really can hear a pin drop without any speakers...it's just amazing.

Piccoli Fiori JMJ
It is a shorter term for Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers...or something like that... basically: Eucharistic Ministers
