DAF
This sort of thing is really unfortunate. I felt the same thing at one time. It's like you get tired of the religion and thrist for something new and different. It doesn't matter that catholicism is the true religion, it becomes a non-option because that's what you've been doing for your whole life. I am afraid she may have her heart hardened against Mother Church Prayers going up 1st class postal service tonight.

Ziggamafu
1. Tell her that one of the reasons you remain Catholic is humility. You thought it would feel arrogant to believe your doctrinal opinions were right over and against the vast majority vote from 2,000 years worth of Christians. 2. Tell her that another reasons is Apostolic Succession. If true, only the Roman Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox have the authority of Christ to govern and pastor; only they can "bind and loose" and forgive and retain sins (Matt 16:18ff and John 20:21-23). 3. Give her a C.S. Lewis anology of the Eucharist and then proceed to explain that the Eucharist is perhaps the most exhaustively biblical doctrine in the Christian Faith.
