Phatmass hugs don't do it for me any more. I think I need some hardcopy friends.

That was a bit harsh, the way I said that. I apologize. I guess it was all this "skinny" talk.

The chubby boys in glasses thing. I feel like I've regressed to TCW last year. This will not do! :)

This is comming from the future sister, here, but I truthfully have found that a guy's body seriously doesn't matter to me once I really get to know them. When a friend asks me about a guy I know, I've never been able to answer the question "Is he cute?" I always seem to be indifferent towards guys until I get to know them. In the past I've found myself falling for guys of many different shapes and sizes.

I like the "swimmer's build"... :) (akso known as the "martial arts build"

That's what my hubby is :)

Funny though... He doesn't do either... :idontknow:

Uh, dunno. Preferably not too flabby, I guess. I can handle a guy who is incompetent in the kitchen (Lord, grant me humility), but I don't want to be better at carrying things (other than babies). But preferably someone whose demeanor and carriage shows respect for his person and his body, and for others.

I've dated guys of a range of shapes and sizes, and find that the common threads between them, other than faith, is that we make each other laugh, and we can have intelligent, interesting conversations. If those things are in place, and we're comfortable with each other, then there's a strong likelihood that I'll find him physically attractive, even if he doesn't fit anyone's category of "ideal physical specimen."

If those things aren't there, a guy can be drop-dead gorgeous and he just won't get my engine fired up after I've gotten to know him.

As I think about this, I guess I really have two levels of attraction ... there are definitely guys I'd classify as good-looking or not, and I can appreciate the physical appeal of a good-looking man, but when it comes to having a relationship, those things are just part of the overall picture. In other words, the non-physical chemistry is as important as the physical chemistry, and has an effect on the physical chemistry. Make sense?
