M.SIGGA
If Pius XI excommunicated and condemned the Nazis with his encyclical Mit Brennender Sorge(1937), why did some clergy still participate with Nazi activity in 1939 (not talking about Cardinal Pacelli aka Pius XII). FX2
im thinkin those bishops who were doin the nazi salute would have a bullet in their head if they resisted. This website shows what kind of C R A P is out there on the internet. It is so weird how the same tool that we use in everday lives can be an outlet of Satan, or an outlet of the Catholic Church. ironmonk
PhatCatholic, I think your right... I wouldn't be surprised if it was an ex-Catholic. Like the so called "atheists" that do not believe in God and get mad when people talk about God... if they didn't believe, then they wouldn't care. Something that the anti-Catholics don't realize is that Hitler, when he first came to power, gave no sign of hate, he was like any other new country leader to come to power. I've done a lot of study on the man... did you know that what got him to power so quickly was that he was arrested for treason, then in the court trial that was highly publicized, he turned the tables on the government, and said it was the government that was treasonous to the people of Germany for loosing WWI... the people backed him... he was acquitted, and then his Nazi party took power... Also, the swastika that they use is actually an inverted religious symbol. Your Servant in Christ, ironmonk
God Conquers
The common folk, and regular clergy had no idea of the racism and ambition of Hitler until it was far too late. The whole world was fooled, just look at the Berlin Olympics, he cleaned up the country nicely for that one. Hitler was also, by birth, Catholic, and we know he attended the baptisms etc of the children of his friends and family. Of course he would have been seen with priests or Bishops. The swastika is a symbol of the Arian religion I think. Hitler was pretty interested in the occult and paganism.
God Conquers
Also, Hitler most certainly was killing Catholics in Eastern Europe. What happens if the ones he hasn't start speaking out more strongly? They get KILLED! He was hunting seminarians and Catholic professers in Poland. So what's a pope to do? Write incredibly damning letters and forcing the poor priests to distribute them and risk having them (and the faithfiul) slaughtered?
