His nature, his existence, must be good. Anything else is dualism. To say satan has an evil nature is to say that evil exists as its own positive reality. It does not. Satan is not some source of evil, some creature whose being is by nature evil in the exact opposite of God whose being is completely good.

you see, Satan isn't even as good at being evil as God is at being good. if he was, that would mean evil had equal power to good, but it does not. as such, satan does not hold that power to actually BE EVIL. Perhaps he would like to hold that power, but he does not. We don't live in a ying yang.

Satan certainly doesn't DO good. Satan's [i]nature,[/i ]however, IS
good.

That is why his rejection of God actually is an evil, the fact that he is twisting something that is good-- his nature-- into something that does evil is what makes it evil. If satan's nature were not good, he would be unable to do evil because evil cannot exist without mimicking, diminishing, and twisting something that is by nature good.

In effect, Satan is divided against himself. The things he does are self-destructive, they cause his damnation and his suffering. He attacks his own nature because his nature is good and he hates good things.

"A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand" -Christ
