theculturewarrior
Sometimes, for Daytime Prayer (from the Liturgy of the Hours), if it is a Feast or if it is from one of the Commons, it gives one antiphon each for Midmorning, Midday and Midafternoon Prayer. However, each hour has three psalms. Do you use the same antiphon for every psalm, or do you use the one from the Proper of the Saints first, and then use the rest found in the Psalter or the Complimentary Psalmody? I'm not sure if I've stated this question clearly. Please PM me if I have been unclear.
Pio Nono
JMJ 9/29 - Feast of the Holy Archangels theculturewarrior, When I studied at the Angelicum, I would join the Dominican friars for midday prayer. On days like that, they would usually say the antiphon the first time, run through the first psalm, say the Gloria, and then proceed directly to the next psalm without restating the antiphon. Don't know if that answers your question, but that's how I've seen it done. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
