Help please!

Noel's angel

Recommended Posts

My school is having its opening Mass on Friday and I have just found out that there will be a drama piece included, acted by a group of Year10 pupils, pretending to be lepers. I would appreciate if anyone could find me as much as possible on drama and the Liturgy to try and disuade the nun that is organising thre Mass, from using this piece of drama.

Please help me! (sorry if I'm asking somewthing really obvious, but I've been searching and I can't find anything)

thanks!!! It's too late to change the Mass now, btu I can inform the Bishop in the morning about how he's about to take part in a Mass littered with abuses. I'll gauge his reaction and if need be, take the issue further

thank you :)

Well, we had the Mass today and I was nearly sick. I walked into the hall where we were having it to find little triangular flags tied across the room, like they have at parades. The altar was a school desk, covered in a white cloth with a map of the world on it and all the places where there are Loreto schools. The Entrance procession was so long, the hymn had to be sung twice. Pupils acted out the Gospel, using their own made up script and the Responsorial psalm was 'On Eagles Wings'. The Bishop left some bits of the Mass out, then we had some Irish dancers who danced along to an Irish traditional tune complete with banging drums. The chalice to hold the wine in it was made from plaster and had ceramic tiles on it. We then had more Irish dancing (twice) and three solo singing performances. The Our Father was said in Irish, so only about half a dozen people could actually say it, and worst of all the bishop thought it was wonderful and said 'the acting out of the Gospel was wonderful and had much more of an impact than if I had read it'.

After Mass, he completely ignored all pupils except the Head Boy and Head Girl and only talked to senior members of staff. Time to write a little letter I think....

I know. I came home tonight and wrote a letter to the Bishop who celebrated the Mass. If he doesn't do anything about it, I'll keep going up the chain until someone does do something.
