prayers for you guys!! Here's my favorite cookie recipe. it's for a kind of cookie called a whirligig... if you like peanut butter and chocolate then it's very tasty!

Here it is:

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream shortening, both sugars and peanut butter.
Add egg; beat until light and fluffy.
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Add to egg mixture and blend well.
Roll dough into oblong shape 1/4 inch thick.
Melt chocolate bits over boiling water.
Spread onto rolled dough.
Roll up like jelly roll and chill.
Slice 1/4 inch thick.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes.

THANK YOU AND THANK EVERYONE FOR THE PRAYERS.

I just got off the phone with Diane, and that noise you hear....whoo whoo chugga chugga....is the STUPID train leaving the station.

I have Diane's permission to use names. Her aunt's name was Duke at least that was what everyone called her. Well it seems, that "the family" feels that Dukes' sister should pay for the funeral. Not a problem but for the little fact that Duke's sister just spent what she had two weeks ago burying her son James (Diane's brother). And she lives on a fixed income. Of course the people in the family that have money don't want to spend it.

DUMB, STUPID, DUMB, STUPID.....Where do these people come from and would they please go back.

Anyway this is the end of this thread. Diane knows about the prayers and she wanted me to say thank you.
THANK YOU.....AND I LOVE YOU.
Okay...over and out.

[quote name='Cow of Shame' date='Oct 10 2005, 12:28 AM']Do they know what happened to the aunt?

Nope, not yet.

Ya' know what I am thinking? Given that her body was so badly decomposed she died the same day she went for a walk. My opinion.

Where she was found was a good mile and a half in from the road.
And that was not her usual route for taking walks.
All in all this doesn't look good.

As soon as I know I will let you know.
Thank you for asking.
