They do not have the same view of the world as the US - guaranteed! And on of the main differences is that economics to them is not a top priority, where as in the US, this is a top priority because every citizen has the right to happiness. China says all citizens has a right to obedience and really don't care if the economy goes sour, as long as the goverment can keep on track in what it wants to accomplish their people cna live in poverty - just keep the wheels spinning. i don't believe they want to invade the USA, but they definately will not permit the US to push them around - this isn't Iraq, its more like Iraqx100. Jaime
Currently China is the second largest purchaser of US debt. If we continue to grow our deficit spending, I have a feeling they will become the largest purchaser of our debt.

Lounge Daddy
from author Ted Bell's article in Fusion Magazine:
Here’s another one. Taiwan. Taiwan is a thriving democracy situated just off the coast of mainland China. The Chinese don’t like that idea anymore than we like having Fidel ninety miles from Miami. So, they just passed a law authorizing the use of force to reclaim Taiwan. They’ve built missile batteries all along the coast aimed at Taiwan. They have naval and air force war games with the French, and now the Russians, in the Strait of Taiwan. Suppose one day they make a move? We have U.S. planes on the ground there and ships in the harbors. We’re committed to the defense of Taiwan. We could not and would not ignore an attack on this island democracy. Should an attack occur, we would move the 7th Fleet into the Strait and go muzzle-to-muzzle with the Chinese Navy. Our fighters would go in over the coast to suppress the mainland shore batteries.Sound a little dicey? It would be. Americans need to start taking China very, very seriously. Most Americans see China as some benign, lumbering giant trying to join the brotherhood of nations. It’s not. So, what do we do? A good first step might be if everyone started calling this dictatorship “Red China” like we used to do, before it became so politically incorrect. Red China. Red China. It feels right to me. Try it yourself.
