Laudate_Dominum
I'm having this random idea of a program that might be useful as a promo for phatmass as well as just being cool. Essentially it is a little hidden program that changes your desktop background every day, two days, week, month, hour, however you want to configure it (day be default). The program would appear as a new icon in control panel from which one could configure the darned thing. There would be a wallpaper template (or several templates) from which a new wallpaper would be generated when the times comes for the background to be changed (depending upon configuration as noted). There are two applications of this program that I currently have in mind. The first is a papal theme whereby your desktop background will change everyday (or whatever) to feature a different pontiff. There will be a prominent image of the pontiff as well as a smorgasbord of facts. The second concept is predictable enough, basically a different saint is presented each time the background is cycled. I would attempt to have this little program distributed on any Catholic site willing to provide a link or advertisement of some kind. The promotional value for phatmass is that I would like to quite possibly attribute the credit to phatmass.com and have that URL on the screen some place. Although the link would not be prominent, probably just a faint string of text in the bottom right corner or something. But good enough no doubt. What say ye? Yay or nay? Molte grazie, grazie mile, adieu.

I know people who work at places like EWTN, Catholic Answers, The Mary Foundation, etc.. so its possible that I could get the thing posted on a number of sites.. hierochloe
I have heard of apps for windows that allow rotating wallpaper and such, so they do exist. I don't use anything like that so I can't provide something useful like a link. :/

Papal wallpaper, Saint of the day wallpaper, etc.. Automatically rotated. I know how to write a program that changes the wallpaper and its not hard at all. I'm sure programs exist, but I doubt a packaged "papal wallpaper" type thing exists.
hierochloe
Sounds like all you need is the graphics then. Yes, I've never seen any Catholic themed rotating desktop packages. Yours would likely be unique. : In fact the only real detailed one I've seen (as opposed to just a few alternating desktop wallpapers) was based on songbirds that actually changed the entire desktop theme (including sounds) to match the "bird of the day". Thank you. : Hmm... *thinking*
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
Actually that sounds like the program called WebShots... You can have it change the desktop as often as you like and you can even have the background cycle through as a screen saver too... An added plus of the program is a nifty little calander on your desktop that updates on its own, no matter what the background is doing...

Lounge Daddy
Remember when windows 98 first came out – with the IE integration? There were screensavers for MSNBC and Wired news that were updated daily – What about a Phatmass screensaver with updated Catholic news daily?
