Thy Geekdom Come
Tax hikes rarely do any good for the economy. Instead of people paying more on higher taxes, they restrict their purchases and such to save money, thus decreasing revenue.

One week he's supposed to be all about the Iraq situation, the next day he's supposed to be all about the Katrina situation. Give the man a break already! There is more to the United States of America than the Iraq war and one (1) natural disaster! No matter what the mainstream liberal media want to show you. White Knight
Man this country would be alot more productive politically wise if we'd stand firm like we did back in September and October of 2001. We need to be united in the recovery efforts of Katrina and in stopping terrorism, with the War of Terorism and the so called Iraq War is apart of the War of Terrorism, so dont say its a different thing when its not. Stand United folks, not divided. *Remembers the words of Jesus* "A Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand."

It's possible the multi-trillion dollar budget can be spent more efficiently. Then again, it's easier to to say we HAVE to raise taxes and get us to pay for it then to have a congressman say the Feds won't pay for the multi-million pork-barrel project in his district. You don't see Ted Kennedy sacrificing his future votes by realigning that money to New Orleans. He'd rather have the working people and the small businesses hemorage money to pay for the natural disaster along with his pet projects.
