ryanmeyersmusic
The program in and of itself cannot and is not illegal, it is how it is used that makes it legal or illegal. Downloading something you heard on the radio shouldn't be a big deal(not sure what the Church's stance on downloading what is on the radio)... it is a sin to download songs that are not on the radio and the only other way to get them would be to buy the CD (according to the Church). If you download to sample it, then delete it, I don't think that would be sinful... there are many places that let you listen before you buy, and by deleting it your intention is pure. (my opinion, not fact) Ethics and the Internet The Church and the Internet these documents don't address the question directly, but definitely help to give a good idea of what we as Catholics should use the internet for, and what we probably shouldn't. Aloysius
people claim a lot of things... let me keep my kazaa lite. no strings. yeah, but that's the illegal kind, right? like if you download copyrighted music from it, you're breaking the law. and as Catholics we must obey all laws which govern us as long as they don't contradict the greater moral good. B)
