ironmonk
Kazaa is full of spyware. It is a sure fire way to let trojans on your system.... The program in and of itself cannot and is not illegal, it is how it is used that makes it legal or illegal. Downloading something you heard on the radio shouldn't be a big deal(not sure what the Church's stance on downloading what is on the radio)... it is a sin to download songs that are not on the radio and the only other way to get them would be to buy the CD (according to the Church). If you download to sample it, then delete it, I don't think that would be sinful... there are many places that let you listen before you buy, and by deleting it your intention is pure. (my opinion, not fact) If you want Kazaa... I suggest Kazaa Lite... spyware free.... and do not upgrade. Paladin D
Odd how the Kazaa's FAQ states that there is "No Spyware". But I have a program on my PC which detects Spyware and deletes it, detected a Kazaa file that was spyware.

IcePrincessKRS
I think if its a shreware program that you have to pay for it isn't sinful. If they're charging then they are paying some sort of royalties. ...right?
musturde
or maybe they're pocketing it all :D Edited November 29, 2003 by musturde
IcePrincessKRS
or maybe they're pocketing it all :D Maybe, but I think there'd be serious legal ramifications if they did that. Like Napster is up and running again, but you have to pay like a buck per song you DL, or 10 bucks per album to pay for royalties and all.... and probably those court costs they ran up when that whole Metalica deal blew up... :P
musturde
I heard it was 50 cents a song
IcePrincessKRS
Unless I read something wrong its $0.99 per song or $9.99 per album. I went to the actual site and looked around.
