hell and journals 4 research

Are there any "scholarly journals" with articles that discuss Biblical views of hell, particulary the typical view that suffering happens eternally, annihilationism, and I guess also universalism? My community college's library website only links to other more common topics for such journals.

they will if the author is a professor, a biblical scholar, or has an advanced degree in theology or some related field.

funny.. I just happened to be reading a journal article on universalism before I saw your thread. :D:

There is one link for you anyway. ;)
It's written by a baptist fellow so it has a distinctly protestant perspective.

Here is another protestant article you might find interesting:

It's from CRI (Christian Research Institute)

And a decent article on annihilationism from Southern Evangelical Seminary's journal:

photosynthesis

have you tried the St. Paul Centre for Biblical Theology website? They have a lot of links to theological articles. Also, your library may have subscriptions to some religion+philosophy databases... have you tried Google Scholar?

Try the exchange between Fr. Richard John Neuhaus of First Things and Dale Vree of the New Oxford Review, summarized here in First Things by Avery Cardinal Dulles:

http://www.firstthings.com/ftissues/ft0305...les/dulles.html

Here is the argument from Fr. Neuhaus in his fine journal of Religion and Public Life:

http://www.firstthings.com/ftissues/ft0108/public.html

Keep in mind that neither of these men speak for the Church.
