Duck, Duck, Gray Duck is pretty much the domain of Minnesota (land of hotdish and rubber binders)... everyone else calls it Duck, Duck, Goose...

Oh, thank you for posting such a refreshing topic! I'm exhausted with those controversial subjects that I swore I wouldn't reply to. I'm going to stop!!! Now, . . . . my favorite childhood game was tether-ball. I always won because I was tall for my age. Oh, I feel sooooooooo much better! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

when my brother and me were younger we played a game called "berm ball" with my dad

we had a big hill in the back of our house that had the next street over on the other side......called a berm

we each got 6 swings of a baseball bat at a tennis ball.....the backyard was sectioned off into single, double, and homerun.....with hitting the ball over the berm or swinging and missing being an out.....the goal was obviously to get the most runs.....that was a great game

we also played a free throw shooting game in our driveway......you started with 5 shots......each shot you took and missed counted against your shot total.....each shot you made gave you no shot countdown and a quarter.....so if i make a shot, i still have 5 shots left and $.25....if i make the next, i have 5 shots and $.50....miss the third i have 4 shots but still $.50

ahhh the good ol days

My little siblings' favourite games must revolve around that concept, but usually it's water, not lava. Often shark infested water, but still water. I would guess that our favourite game when I was young was British Bulldog.

My kids play this all the time. It's their excuse for abusing my furniture, I think... What it is with kids and lava??

I used to play that game, too!

My favorites were tv tag and capture the flag.
