[quote name='Carrie' date='Sep 15 2005, 08:56 AM']oh DJ, it was because the umps did their job that you didn't win.

They're not just going to hand it to you!

Your team had to work for it!

(teasing you is fun... :P: )

Now come on that they worked for it, even the Mets worked for it( not good work but work none the less) that series had multiple 10+ inning games.

Ok, I can agree with you here. Both teams worked very hard.

Mine just worked harder.

You know I had to think about it... I think 1987 was the best year seeing as I graduated high school in 1988.

But in 1987 I had all that unbridled optimism of youth. I was just waiting to run full on into the "Big World". So full of hope, so full of myself. Nobody could stop me - I was a seventeen-year-old with an agenda! I had my whole life ahead of me, I was going to be great!

Sure, I graduated in 1988, but with that came the realization that all your friends go away, nothing will ever be the same, and nobody really cares two whits about you in the "Big World". I was quite the crushing blow to truly realize you are alone in your own skin.

Yes, 1987 was the best year.
