But in 1987 I had all that unbridled optimism of youth. I was just waiting to run full on into the "Big World". So full of hope, so full of myself. Nobody could stop me - I was a seventeen-year-old with an agenda! I had my whole life ahead of me, I was going to be great! Sure, I graduated in 1988, but with that came the realization that all your friends go away, nothing will ever be the same, and nobody really cares two whits about you in the "Big World".
