zabbazooey
Can someone tell me? Is there something you have to do before you are able to receive the blood of Christ? I'm confused....
Pontifex
When you receive the Host, you receive the fullness of the Body and Blood of Christ. If you are asking about reception of communion in general: you must be a baptized Catholic in good standing with the Church, and have knowledge of what the Eucharist is and what you proclaim when you receive it. If you are asking about receiving from the cup in addition to the host; no, there is nothing else you need to do other than attend a mass that offers communion under both species. I hope that helps.
